Job Description
We are currently offering a fully funded Ph.D. position, specifically tailored for individuals passionate about the field of machine learning and generative AI. This position offers an excellent platform for a dedicated researcher to explore the realm of uncertainties in machine learning and utilize generative AI, particularly to develop test cases for automotive applications.
Position Overview
- Affiliation: The position is affiliated with the group of Jun.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Florian Pfaff at the Institute of Industrial Automation and Software Engineering (IAS), University of Stuttgart.
- Role: Research Associate leading to a Ph.D. degree.
- Project Focus: Employing generative AI to generate test cases for automotive applications. Development and analysis of uncertainties of AI methods.
- Qualifications: Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, Autonomous Systems, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Cybernetics, Mathematics, Physics, or related engineering disciplines.
- Strong foundation in probability theory and statistics.
- Proficiency in Python; experience with PyTorch or JAX is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present findings effectively.
Position Details
- Nature: Full-time, on-site (hybrid possible to a certain degree).
- Salary Grade: E13, full (100%) position (currently, €61912.29 annually, €57708.32 in the first year)
- Ph.D. Opportunity: The position includes the opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. degree.
- Location: Stuttgart, Germany.
