Data Center Technician

We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician. This hybrid role requires strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in data center network management, hardware troubleshooting, and customer support.

* Experience troubleshooting various computer hardware brands, including HP, Dell, Apple, Acer, and Microsoft.

* Experience managing and supporting data storage and backup solutions, ensuring data integrity and availability.

* Knowledge of Cisco routing and switching (Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, XR, and NX-OS).

* Hands-on experience troubleshooting Nexus networks.

* Familiarity with various data center architectures, such as DC-DR and Active-Active DC.

* Understanding of ACI Multipod to connect networks across multiple sites.

* Ability to design and architect data center networks.

* Experience handling escalations and communicating effectively with customers.

* Strong communication skills to collaborate with multiple third-party vendors.

* Experience working with data centers, co-location providers, shipping services, and remote hands services — especially Cisco products.

* Ability to handle multiple tickets simultaneously, with the ability to reprioritize new high-priority tickets as they arise.

* Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and common networking terminology.

* Knowledge of network cabling (including fiber optics).

* Willingness to travel as needed to support hardware/software upgrades in data centers and troubleshoot related issues.

Requirements:

Experience troubleshooting major computer hardware brands (HP, Dell, Apple, Acer, Microsoft) and managing data storage/backup solutions

Strong knowledge of Cisco routing and switching and hands-on Nexus network troubleshooting

Familiarity with ACI Multipod for multi-site network connectivity

Experience working with data centers, co-location providers, shipping, remote hands services, and managing multiple tickets/priorities

Willingness to travel for hardware/software upgrades at other locations
