The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing electrical components into devices. They will also help design and manufacture electrical products of all shapes and sizes. They should be able to make quality assurance checks in order to keep the product standard high.
Responsibilities
- Configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of BMS and EPMS systems.
- Provide technical assistance and support to operations during the life cycle of the data center.
- Develop BMS & EPMS projects\‘ scope of work, schedule, and level of effort (LOE) for projects requested by customers and stakeholders.
- Manage scope, schedule, finance, and execution of BMS and EPMS improvement projects in AWS data centers.
- Assist in procurement-related activities, including requests for quotation/proposals, responding to requests for information, reviewing vendors\‘ proposals, and issuing purchase orders.
- Attend project-related meetings, coordinate with project leaders, and regularly report status to Controls and the stakeholders’ management.
- Support Controls projects related to commissioning activities in the data centers.
- Review, implement, troubleshoot, and iterate on the controls sequence of operation (SOO) and provide necessary feedback to the design team.
- Develop control panel BOMs, cable routing plans, and schedules.
- Develop drawings for control panels, power distribution, and junction boxes. Included in the drawings are the general arrangement, internal layout, schematics and interconnection, and wire diagrams.
- Coordinate with the General Contractor, including their Electrical and Mechanical contractors, for onsite works delivery on schedule.
- Manage Controls scope of work delivered by BMS & EPMS vendors/system integrators, including coordinating installation, commissioning & handover schedules.
- Carry out onsite safety inspections & observations, recording on Procore.
- Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables, requirements, and navigate challenging situations.
- Work in assigned in-operation data centers to troubleshoot, meet customers, supervise vendors’ work to ensure compliance with the scope, design, SOO, and applicable local codes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering science, plus 3+ years of relevant controls experience, OR 8+ years of relevant controls experience instead of a degree.
- 3+ years of on-site experience with industrial controls in critical environment (data center, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, petrochemical, etc), designing, configuring, installing, and/or servicing (Honeywell: Tridium Niagara, Building Controls/Trend, Schneider Electric, PowerLogic/Struxureware, Distech, Inductive Automation: Ignition)
- 2+ years of general project or vendor management experience (request for proposals, bidding, change orders, quality control, and RFI and submittal tracking) associated with construction and project execution (creating, reviewing and understanding of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, method of procedure, risk assessments and standard operating procedures).
