Area Manager Facilities and Material Handling Maintenance (m/f/d)

You will be responsible for maintaining technical building equipment and material handling equipment at our Wiesbaden European Road Network HUB, managing a local team of technicians and a maintenance planner.

Your objectives:

1. You will lead and develop a team of technicians to ensure facility and material handling maintenance.
2. You support operational continuity by providing effective services or solutions for maintenance and repair of operational facilities and equipment.
3. You will ensure service providers comply with contractual agreements.
4. You lead local initiatives to improve maintenance solutions (synergies, methods, planning, etc.).
5. You advise and support all management levels and less experienced colleagues.
6. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling annual building services maintenance.
7. You coordinate fault & downtime reports processing and follow-up.
8. You develop and execute maintenance concepts at the sites.
9. You report on maintenance key figures, costs, and sustainability monthly.
10. You assist your main customer, the regional and local Operations Department, with technical solutions.

Your profile:

1. A degree in facility management, mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related business or technical field.
2. Several years of experience leading technical teams.
3. Technical and maintenance expertise.
4. Proficiency in German and English.
5. Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical engineering.
6. Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
7. Experience in performance evaluation, setting priorities, and managing contractual processes.
8. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and plant equipment.
9. Ability to organize repairs, refurbishments, and projects independently.
10. Experience coordinating remote parties such as suppliers and internal staff.
11. Solution-oriented approach to operational and technical problems.
