Overview: This position provides technical and operational support to protect systems under the responsibility of the U.S. Army Regional Cyber Center – Europe (RCC-E) against unauthorized access and damage. The role includes developing and supporting all aspects of RCC-E\’s automated information security, including accreditations and security policies. The Computer Network Defense Administrator will deploy, operate, monitor, and secure vulnerability assessment systems.
Major Job Activities:
- Test and evaluate security tools and techniques, analyze security events, and report findings.
- Investigate network and AIS security events.
- Ensure devices and assets are configured and operated according to SHB, DISA STIGS, and SRGs.
- Identify vulnerabilities and propose remediation.
- Report security violations and prepare IAVA impact statements.
- Support RMF package execution and compliance.

Basic office equipment.
Working Environment:
Normal office environment, with support during non-traditional hours if needed.
Physical Activities:
Must lift/push/pull 40 lbs unassisted.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\’s degree in relevant field plus 3 years’ experience, or associate\’s plus 7 years, or equivalent certification and experience.
- IAT III Certification (e.g., CASP+, CCNP Security, CISSP, etc.).
- Specialized certifications in network security are required.
- U.S. Citizen with active Secret clearance.
- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, routing/switching, and military or commercial LAN/WAN systems.
Skills/Technology:
Microsoft, HP-UX, Solaris, UNIX, Cisco.
