Role overview
As a Field Application Engineer, you will be part of the EMEA sales organization, and you will serve as a primary technical contact for Micron’s customers and various internal departments. You will work alongside sales account managers, business development managers and customer quality engineers to support Micron\’s networking customers in the region and will provide technical expertise and value to customers who integrate Micron’s products with their own. You’ll advise customers about the technical aspects of Micron products, promote the latest Micron technologies and help solve customer technical issues as they develop new products. You will feed back customer requirements to Micron\’s Embedded Business Units, and work with ecosystem partners.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

• Engage with customer development teams to identify & support design-in activities, drive design wins and qualification of Micron products in customer applications.
• Providing technical support to customers and field sales including technical problem solving, customer qualification issue resolution
• Assist in troubleshooting and providing test support as needed; be the central point of contact during system related escalations between customer and factory teams, work with multi-functional groups until issue resolution has been delivered to the customer
• Present and communicate customer focused collateral (e.g., product specifications, design guide, cross references, datasheets, system compatibility guides, etc.)
• Act as a trusted advisor to the customer by providing memory architecture advice, memory product recommendations, delivering technical trainings and developing solutions.
• Work closely with the Sales Team to develop and execute a strategic plan & objectives.
• Work with internal marketing and development teams to determine the feasibility of new products or features and ensure customer specifications are met.
• Coordinate lab-related activities that support the design-in/validation process, including schematic/board layout reviews, design validation and system level testing

Requirements

• Bachelor\’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Understanding of electronic board and system design, product testing, system validation, and application engineering.
• Familiarity with Embedded Systems hardware architecture, design, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Volatile, Non-Volatile, and Mass Storage Memories used in Automotive or Embedded systems, including NOR, DRAM, mNAND (eMMC, UFS), and SSD.
• problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including experience with lab testing and debugging (e.g., using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers).
• Ability to interact effectively with customers and team members at various levels
• Fluent in English, both oral and written. German language skills are a plus.
• Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
