As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior People Operations Manager to lead our people operations and HR initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping our company culture, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting the ongoing development of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- People Operations : Own and run the full spectrum of HR operations – including contracts, onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, HRIS management, and liaison with tax authorities.
- Process Implementation : Develop and optimize scalable HR processes and policies aligned with company goals and compliance requirements.
- Professional Development : Design and support employee development programs to foster growth and skill advancement.
- Culture : Drive a positive, inclusive workplace culture by organizing team events, promoting company values, and championing employee engagement initiatives.
- Organizational Development : Partner with leadership on org design, headcount planning, and people strategy to support company growth.
- Compliance & Documentation : Ensure all HR processes are compliant with German labor law and keep employee documentation organized and up to date.
- Recruitment Support : Support the recruitment process for occasional key hires (1-2 roles per year), working closely with hiring managers as needed.
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of experience in a People Operations or HR role at a startup or scale-up – ideally in the B2B SaaS space.
- Proven hands-on experience managing HR operations, contracts, payroll, and people processes.
- Strategic mindset with experience in organizational development and culture building.
- Strong understanding of German labor law, HR compliance, and modern people operations practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a hands-on, can-do attitude and high ownership.
- Proficiency with modern HR tools and systems.
- Fluent German speaker and writer – this is a must . You will handle contracts, HR compliance, and employee communication in German.
Location
Berlin HQ – Hybrid (min. 2-3 days at the Office)
