Process Engineer (Quotation & Project Execution) – Uzwil, Switzerland – Permanent – 80-100% – Onsite As a Process Engineer (Quotation & Project Execution), you will play a key role in designing and defining process and plant concepts, ensuring technical excellence and high-quality standards throughout the entire project lifecycle. Acting as a vital link between Sales, Quotation, Project Execution, R&D, market segment leaders, international hubs, and customers, you will contribute to the successful delivery of innovative solutions that create lasting value for our customers.
Responsibilities
You develop and calculate process solutions during sales and quotation phases ranging from individual machines to complete plant concepts, including process flow diagrams, design bases, technical specifications, and the application of quality principles.
You work on different customer projects during the quotation phase and take an active role during the entire project execution phases, ensuring technical excellence, stakeholder alignment, compliance with deadlines, and cost transparency.
You transform customer requirements into technically sound and value-driven process concepts while providing active expert support to Sales, Quotation, and Project Execution teams.
You take ownership of a dedicated market segment within our Business Area Human Nutrition, managing technical risks, deviations, change requests, and supporting commissioning (mainly back‑office), customer trials, and product development activities.
You drive continuous improvement by enhancing workflows, maintaining high-quality documentation and data standards, fostering cross‑functional collaboration, and ensuring systematic feedback of product and performance data into internal knowledge bases.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Food/Process Technology or Process Engineering, or a comparable qualification with a focus on grain processing.
Practical experience in grain processing, including process design, technology, calculations, and/or commissioning activities.
Strong project management, organisational, and problem‑solving skills combined with a structured, pragmatic, and results‑oriented approach.
Proficiency in MS Office; basic CAD knowledge and additional language skills (e.g., Spanish, French, or Italian) are considered an advantage.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in international and multidisciplinary environments; fluent in German and English.
