General Ledger Accountant (m/f/d) – Manufacturing

About Us Mind is a global automotive components manufacturer, supplying lighting, thermal management, and electrical systems to leading OEMs worldwide. Our German plant is a core part of our international footprint — a fast-scaling operation at the center of our European growth strategy.

The Role You own the plant's general ledger end to end. Working closely with the Plant Management and our international HQ finance team, you ensure accurate, timely, and fully compliant financial reporting in a live manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full general ledger cycle: journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end / quarter-end / year-end closing
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations; safeguard data integrity
• Coordinate statutory reporting under German GAAP (HGB) together with our external tax advisor (Steuerberater)
• Manage fixed asset accounting, inventory valuation, and intercompany transactions
• Partner with cost accounting on product costing and variance analysis
• Support VAT filings and tax compliance coordination with external advisors
• Actively drive process improvements in daily accounting operations, working hands-on in SAP
• Liaise with HQ finance in an international, English-speaking environment

What You Bring

• 5+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing (automotive components a strong plus)
• Proven ownership of general ledger and month-end closing
• Hands-on SAP FI/CO experience; S/4HANA is a plus
• Solid knowledge of German GAAP (HGB); DATEV experience a plus
• Business-fluent English; able to operate in an international matrix organization
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification
