Role As a Mobile Engineer at Zühlke, you will work in interdisciplinary teams developing high‑quality, long‑lasting mobile apps for i OS and Android.
Responsibilities Develop innovative mobile applications across diverse industries that elevate your clients' businesses and provide a great end‑user experience.
Work within a cross‑functional team of experienced engineers to build sophisticated mobile apps and integrate them into the clients' system landscapes.
Build a deep understanding of client domains and project requirements.
Leverage native mobile expertise with Kotlin and Swift, focusing on clean architecture, testable software, performance, security, and long‑term maintainability.
Determine the appropriate native, cross‑platform, or hybrid approach that delivers the greatest value.
Create prototypes quickly while maintaining high user‑experience standards, collaborating with customers, product owners, designers, and fellow engineers.
Coach team members in mobile development and agile practices to contribute to project success.
Qualifications A technical degree (bachelor’s or master’s) in computer science or a related field.
At least three years of professional mobile development experience.
Strong experience with Kotlin and the Android ecosystem, as well as Swift and the i OS ecosystem.
Solid understanding of modern mobile architectures and clean software development.
Experience with testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and quality‑driven engineering practices.
Familiarity with agile collaboration in interdisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of cross‑platform technologies and experience with Flutter or Kotlin Multiplatform (preferred).
Experience in consulting environments, technical leadership, or coaching in client projects (a plus).
Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication skills; German is a business‑fluent requirement, and proficiency in English is required.
