As Partner / Principal for Insurance at nxt, you will own the strategy, growth, and delivery of a new insurance practice. You will build and lead this business line from the ground up, establish its service portfolio, and drive commercial success across Switzerland and, eventually, the wider DACH region and the UK. Responsibilities
Define and implement the practice strategy, service portfolio, and go‑to‑market plan. Win and deliver senior client mandates across the Swiss insurance sector, and selectively expand into DACH and the UK. Shape advisory offerings at the intersection of insurance strategy, digital transformation, and technology. Recruit, mentor, and grow a high‑performing team that exemplifies nxt’s consultative, rigor‑first culture. Serve as a trusted advisor to C‑level clients and assume commercial ownership of the practice, including pipeline, P&L, and account growth. Qualifications
Many years of senior experience in the insurance industry (strategy, transformation, operations, or comparable leadership) or within a leading strategy/management consultancy. Exceptional, active network of senior decision‑makers in the insurance sector, with ongoing client mandates or a credible near‑term pipeline. Proven entrepreneurial track record of building practices or teams, winning business, and developing talent. Deep understanding of the strategic and digital challenges facing insurers and the ability to translate them into actionable advisory work. Principal or Partner‑level seniority with the gravitas to operate as a peer to C‑level clients. Fluency in German and English; deep roots in the Swiss insurance market (relevance to wider DACH or the UK is a plus). Benefits
