The role

As a Senior Data Scientist at Zühlke, you turn ideas into real-world impact—uncovering the true value of data and leading the journey from concept to practical application through advanced AI and machine learning solutions.

How you\’ll make an impact

You will take on the technical leadership of client projects (defining the methodological approach, developing use cases with clients, advising clients on technical matters, and presenting and explaining results).

You will lead the development of machine learning pipelines or develop them independently: data preparation, modeling, method selection, and validation.

You will assess the technical and economic feasibility of machine learning solutions and help operationalize successful prototype concepts in collaboration with data platform architects.

As an expert, you will also support the acquisition of new client projects and be part of an interdisciplinary bid team.

What\’s important to us

You have at least four years of professional or research experience in the field of machine learning after completing your studies. Experience with implementing projects in industry or services is a plus.

You bring strong and versatile knowledge in machine learning and statistics. Solid experience in the area of generative AI is essential for this position.

You have excellent Python skills, experience in software development, database systems, and cloud technologies, as well as solid knowledge of MLOps.

Thanks to your confident communication with clients, strong self-motivation, and passion for data science topics, you take ownership of projects and help advance our ML/DS capabilities.

You have a university degree in computer science, mathematics, or a comparable field. A PhD in a machine-learning-related field is a plus, but not mandatory

Excellent German and English skills are required..
