Location: Munich, Germany | Employment information: Full-time; permanent position

This laboratory position is directed at technical assistants and laboratory professionals who can perform bioassays for biopharmaceutical activity testing. The work calls for an established foundation in mammalian cell culture and for reliable handling of the practical and documentary elements of testing under GMP-compliant conditions.

The advertised methods span cell-based assays and additional assay formats. The work therefore brings together practical sample handling, attention to aseptic technique, and documentation performed in GMP-compliant conditions. The role is suited to applicants who can describe their own laboratory experience with enough clarity to distinguish routine exposure from sustained, hands-on responsibility, especially when discussing cell culture, assay execution, and documented work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform bioassays to determine the biological activity of biopharmaceuticals under GMP conditions.
  • Carry out proliferation, apoptosis, FACS, ADCC, and luciferase bioassays as required by the department's testing work.
  • Conduct ELISAs and SPR/Biacore assays within the range of published laboratory methods.
  • Undertake aseptic work with cells for cell-based assays.
  • Work in GMP-compliant conditions while completing the required documentation.
  • Apply careful laboratory practice across the assay formats specified in the vacancy.

Qualifications

  • Completed training as a BTA, MTA, CTA, biology laboratory technician, or an equivalent qualification with hands-on laboratory experience.
  • Profound practical experience in mammalian cell culture.
  • Good knowledge of German and English.
  • Preferred: experience handling multichannel pipettes and working in a 96-well format.
  • Preferred: experience with ELISA, FACS, and PCR.
  • Preferred: experience of working under GLP or GMP conditions.

Skills and Competencies

  • Computer skills for the laboratory work and associated documentation described in the vacancy.
  • Communication skills for effective interaction within the team.
  • Teamwork skills in a laboratory environment.
  • Aseptic working capability with cells in cell-based assays.
  • Method familiarity across the listed bioassay and analytical formats.
  • Ability to work with GMP-compliant documentation requirements.

Benefits and Employment Information

  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Flexible working hours and working-time models.
  • Individual professional and personal development opportunities.
  • Reimbursement of the Deutschland-Ticket.
  • Subsidized meal options and free water, coffee, tea, and fresh fruit.
  • Company events and seasonal refreshments mentioned in the vacancy.
  • Accident insurance for work-related and private areas, plus additional benefits including a corporate benefits programme and health management.
