The technician is responsible for the mechanical and hydraulic stages that turn a planned heat-pump installation into an operating heating system. • Run pipework from the outdoor unit through to the heating room.
  • Install the hydraulic components in line with the relevant system scheme.
  • Fill the completed heating installation as part of preparing it for operation.
  • Install water-softening equipment where required within the installation process.
  • Commission the control technology after the mechanical and hydraulic work is complete.
  • Introduce customers to their new sustainable heating system at handover.

Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training as an SHK plant mechanic, gas and water installer, heating engineer, or an equivalent listed heating trade.
  • Practical routine in systems installation work.
  • Ability to carry out technical work independently.
  • Fluent German, as required in the vacancy.
  • A Class B driving licence.
  • Willingness to work in a reliable fixed three-person team.
  • Commitment to clean workmanship and constructive participation in team decisions.

Skills and Competencies

  • Technical capability in removing existing systems and assembling heat-pump installations.
  • Confidence with pipe installation between an outdoor unit and a heating room.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic installation based on a specified scheme.
  • Careful execution of filling, water-softening installation, and control-technology commissioning tasks.
  • Clear German-language communication when explaining the completed system to a customer.
  • A dependable, cooperative approach alongside self-directed work.

Benefits and Employment Information

  • The vacancy states monthly gross pay of €2,800 to €7,000, described as a high fixed amount plus an installation bonus.
  • Share options through the Octopus Energy Group share-option programme.
  • A gross referral bonus for a successful employee recommendation.
  • Two vehicles per team, with potential private use after the probationary period.
  • Family-related support including a childcare subsidy, a parental-allowance bonus, and additional child-sickness days beyond the statutory level.
