Responsibilities In this role you will manage the entire sales cycle for road freight: Proactively identify new business opportunities and market potential through detailed market, trend, and competitive analysis. Plan, conduct, and follow up on customer visits. Coordinate closely with the Road product, Customer Service, Pricing, and internal stakeholders. Handle road freight quotations, RFQs, and tariff inquiries in collaboration with the relevant product teams. Track and ensure a defined hit ratio for road freight offers to increase gross profit and volume in tons. Document all sales activities and identified opportunities comprehensively and timely in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM system. Support onboarding of new road freight customers and hand over to the operative teams. Contribute to the continuous improvement of road freight products and services based on customer feedback. Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and on social media. Qualifications Completion of an apprenticeship in freight forwarding / logistics or a related qualification. Minimum three years of experience in external sales within the logistics industry. Strong product, process, and market knowledge related to road freight (import/export, tariffs, trade lanes). Documented success in acquiring new customers, especially in air freight, and a solid network in the road freight market. Proficient with MS Office and experience using CRM systems. Fluent in German and good in English, both written and spoken. Team‑oriented yet highly autonomous and structured. Excellent negotiation skills, persuasive communication, and a deep customer‑focus. Strong presentation abilities and confident, persuasive presence. Willingness to travel up to 75% within the sales territory.
