JOB DETAILS
My client is seeking a dynamic and adaptable Head of Operations to take on a multi-faceted leadership role that spans Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and People and Culture. This position is ideal for a candidate with a flexible mindset, as the role goes beyond traditional definitions of Finance or Operations. You will be responsible for managing daily administrative and operational functions while driving strategic initiatives.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the company’s financial and operational strategies.
- Financial Oversight: Take full ownership of financial functions, including cash management, bookkeeping, insurance, budgeting, funding, and reporting.
- Risk Management: Analyse company liabilities, manage investments, and oversee capital structure and fundraising efforts.
- Operational Excellence: Design and implement efficient operational frameworks for our offices in Berlin and Barcelona to support product development and daily operations.
- Supply Chain Management: Optimize supply chain activities in collaboration with the supplier ecosystem to ensure lean and effective processes.
- People and Culture: Partner with the People and Culture lead to foster an engaging organizational culture and drive HR strategies.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support teams across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and People and Culture.
- Performance Monitoring: Utilize tracking tools to monitor business performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to achieve ambitious goals.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- A proven track record of 5+ years in executive leadership roles.
- Strong background in operations in an engineering or manufacturing setting.
- International professional experience.
- Strong leadership capabilities with integrity and a results-driven approach.
- In-depth knowledge of advanced accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and tax planning.
- Basic experience in supply chain management, purchasing, or operational processes.
- Agile mindset and familiarity with scaling startups into industrial operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field.
- C1 English, B2 German, nice to have any Spanish language.
