📍 Location: Hamburg or Berlin (Hybrid: 3–4 days/week on-site)

💶 Compensation: €150,000-170,000 OTE incl. performance bonus

About the Role

Our client is a dynamic, private equity-backed consumer goods company in the midst of a comprehensive business and digital transformation. As they prepare for the next phase of growth, we are seeking a high-impact IT Director to take full ownership of the technology function and lead it through a period of significant and strategic change.

This opportunity is ideal for a decisive, hands-on leader with a passion for transformation, modern architecture, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the IT landscape across Germany, including infrastructure, operations, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems
• Lead a company-wide technology transformation, including SAP HANA implementation, process automation, CRM deployment, insourcing , and the development of a scalable service catalogue
• Manage and develop a cross-functional IT team (currently 5 FTEs) across development, support, and system administration
• Collaborate closely with key business stakeholders in Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to align technology with commercial and operational goals
• Select and manage external partners, vendors, and system integrators
• Ensure that IT governance, security, business continuity, and compliance standards are met at scale
• Drive a cultural shift toward a proactive, service-driven, and delivery-focused IT organization

Candidate Profile

• A proven track record of leading complex IT transformation initiatives , ideally within mid-sized or fast-scaling environments
• Strong technical foundation with exposure to enterprise platforms such as SAP HANA, Salesforce/CRM systems , and modern automation tools
• Background in FMCG, retail, banking, fintech , or other high-velocity sectors
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence, challenge, and inspire across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in consulting or scale-up environments is a strong plus
• Fluent in German (minimum B2) and English , both written and spoken
• Willing and able to be on-site 3–4 days per week
