Lead System Engineer

We’re seeking a cloud-savvy, hands-on Lead System Engineer to spearhead end-to-end Azure migration projects for an innovative, tech-forward organization.

In this role, you’ll drive mission-critical migrations, architect strategic solutions, guide talented engineers, and ensure secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud implementations. Your responsibilities include managing full-scale Azure migration projects—from initial assessment through deployment and optimization. You will evaluate on-premises environments (such as VMware and Hyper-V), design tailored migration strategies, and execute them using tools like Azure Migrate.

You will architect secure and scalable infrastructure utilizing Azure services including virtual networks, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Application Gateways, and enterprise landing zones. Your daily tasks involve migrating workloads (VMs, databases, file shares) with minimal disruption, optimizing performance and cost using tools like Azure Monitor and auto-scaling, and mentoring junior engineers while leading cross-functional teams.

Minimum requirements include:

1. 5+ years of experience in System Engineering or Cloud Infrastructure roles, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership capacity.
2. Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, especially in cloud migration projects.
3. Solid experience with Azure services including VMs, Update Manager, NSGs, vNETs, SQL Servers, VPNs.
4. Familiarity with VMWare HCX and Azure migration tools.

Additional skills or certifications related to cloud architecture or specific Azure services.
