My client is a globally recognised, premium electronics brand whose wireless devices are used by professionals around the world. They're adding a hands-on electronics engineer to their development team in the Ruhr area. You'll own complex hardware designs from concept through integration, with real technical responsibility and no management overhead.
What you'll be working on
- Compact, high-layer-count electronics with many supply voltage domains, built from discrete parts rather than highly integrated chips
- Miniaturisation challenges, working closely with mechanical, RF and PCB layout specialists to balance RF performance, thermal behaviour and water ingress protection in small form factors
- Signal integrity and power integrity across the design
- Leading technical reviews, driving topics independently and mentoring other engineers
What they're looking for
- A degree in electrical engineering or a related field, or vocational training plus strong hands-on experience
- Solid experience in electronics development at professional or senior level
- A broad, generalist electronics skill set rather than narrow specialisation
- A structured, methodical way of working and the ability to self-direct when requirements aren't fully defined
- Fluent English (documentation is in English). Understanding German is a real plus, and replying in English is fine.
- Living in the Ruhr area, or willing to relocate
Practical experience with SI/PI simulation (e.g. HyperLynx, SIwave, Sigrity, ADS) will put you at the top of the list.
