€100 000 - €140 000 base + performance bonus tied to new customer wins
5V Video are working with a confidential client building TV platform software for telcos, Pay TV operators and broadcasters across Europe. As they are creating a brand new business development function for their TV division, you will get the freedom to take this role in the direction you feel is best suited for the growth of the business.
You’ll start hands-on with the freedom to shape the approach, then build a small team once you’re up and running.
What you’ll be working on:
- Building and owning a pipeline of new TV operator customers across Europe and selected international markets
- Getting in front of CXOs and heads of product before an RFP is even written
- Running deals end to end: qualification, RFPs, paid PoCs, negotiation and contract
- Selling on outcomes like engagement, retention and cost, with real authority on pricing, PoC scope and discounts
- Owning the TV sales strategy, events plan and forecast
- Feeding what you hear in the market back into the roadmap for their AI products
What they’re looking for:
- A track record of signing new logos in B2B software, selling to telcos, Pay TV operators or broadcasters
- An established network across operator product, technology and executive teams, ideally in Europe
- Experience running long, complex sales cycles and moving deals through slow decision processes
- Enough technical depth to talk TV platforms, Android TV and AI-driven content discovery without a solution architect in every meeting
- A curious mindset: you want to properly understand an operator’s problem before proposing anything
- Fluent German
- A background in product management, product-led software or OTT/UX consulting
- Experience selling TV middleware, UI platforms, or recommendation and search products
Important things to know:
- No direct reports at the start, with a team of up to around six planned later
- Sales cycles typically run 12 to 18 months
- Regular travel to operators and industry events
- Two-stage interview process: HR, then a technical discussion with sales and growth
