Ready to lead an organisation through a major external cyber audit?
You’ll be the senior security voice in a small, experienced IT operations team. Your first priority is a major external cybersecurity audit in Q1 2027. You’ll lead the organisation through it as the main point of contact for the external auditors, so the internal team can keep delivering day to day.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading the external audit: preparing evidence, managing auditor requests, and owning findings through to remediation.
- Managing threats on an ongoing basis, including risk assessment and incident response.
- Running quarterly user access reviews, enforcing least privilege, and hardening systems across Linux, Windows Server, network and cloud environments.
- Turning audit findings, vulnerability assessments and penetration test reports into practical remediation roadmaps.
- Mapping the real environment through hands-on discovery, rather than relying on old diagrams and documentation.
- Explaining technical risk clearly to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
What you’ll bring
- Deep experience in cybersecurity within complex IT environments.
- A hands-on background, ideally having moved from systems or network administration into security leadership and compliance.
- Direct experience as the point of contact for external auditors.
- Solid practical knowledge of modern IT, including cloud, firewalls, Linux and Windows. You don’t need to be a specialist in every technology, because the team has in-house experts.
- The confidence to challenge, raise risks and get things done in a lean team.
- Fluent French and professional English. German is a plus.
- CISSP, CISM, CISA or CEH is desirable but not essential. Proven hands-on ability matters more.
