The Position Your Department Your internship is located in the ‚Antibody Development‘ subchapter, which belongs to ‚Reagent Research & Design‘ department in Roche Diagnostics. We are developing antibodies for various platforms of Roche Diagnostics. You will work in the group ‚Antibody Development‘ which is responsible for the generation and screening of diagnostic antibodies. After a profound introduction to the techniques and tools for antibody generation, you will work on current projects in the field of personalized healthcare or other exciting projects in the fields of infectious diseases, fertility,
oncology or cardiovascular diseases. Your Internship During the internship, your tasks include: Development of diagnostic antibodies using the B cell PCR technology and classical hybridoma technology Isolation of B cells and cultivation Single cell sorting of B cell specific populations Screening for target-specific antibodies Work on research projects to support antibody development optimization Independent planning of your experiments Documentation and presentation of your results Who you are You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology or a comparable degree program You have knowledge about basic immunology and cell biology techniques (cell culture, FACS, ELISA) You are curious and open for new ideas. You are not afraid of thinking outside the box You have very good English skills, German knowledge is an advantage You are engaged, have a strong self-reliance and organizational skills, and
