The Genesys Global Security, Privacy & Compliance Centre of Excellence (COE SPC) provides expert security advisory services to Sales, Pre‑sales, Customers, and Partners. The COE SPC is the single point of contact for all security, privacy, and compliance‑related field engagements within the Genesys Cloud Business Unit. This role seeks a Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to conduct customer assessments, audits and evidence‑related engagements for global customers, acting as a hands‑on technical security engineer rather than a compliance or GRC role. The SME will apply expertise in security controls to Genesys Cloud services during audits, clearly articulating and defending our security, privacy, and compliance posture, including controls and evidence in complex discussions with security and compliance teams. Fluency in both English and German is required.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical SME for Genesys Cloud customer audits.
- Serve as the internal escalation point for penetration testing–related discussions.
- Lead advanced technical discussions with customers, prospects, partners, and auditors.
- Defend Genesys Cloud AI security, privacy, and compliance using technical evidence.
- Demonstrate control‑level understanding across frameworks such as SOC2, PCI, etc.
- Generate and validate evidence showing how Genesys Cloud security controls are implemented (IAM, encryption, key management, network segmentation, logging, monitoring, detection and response, incident management, web security, AI security, SDLC).
- Interpret and present technical evidence (logs, configurations, architecture diagrams, policies, automation artifacts) for audits and assessments.
- Translate compliance requirements into clear technical explanations of control operation.
- Support audits, deep security reviews, and penetration testing discussions.
- Translate risk into clear, defensible statements on control effectiveness.
- Strong understanding of AWS cloud security and SaaS shared responsibility models.
- Ability to discuss cloud‑native architectures, distributed systems, and DevSecOps controls from an implementation perspective.
- Understanding of AI security trends and emerging cloud threats.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or equivalent experience.
- Experience as an auditee delivering evidence in compliance attestation presentations.
- Experience in IAM, network security, encryption, key management, logging, auditing, and monitoring in cloud environments and architecture.
- Ability to explain complex security concepts to technical and business audiences as a security subject matter expert.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Awareness of AI security risks and AI governance.
- Experience with TLPT as defined by DORA.
- Experience designing, discussing, defending penetration testing findings and remediation approaches.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and security automation.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP or similar.
