Responsibilities

• Independently prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including notes to the financial statements and management reports, in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.
• Take responsibility for the complete, timely, and high-quality execution of all closing activities, including the coordination of the required reconciliation and support processes.
• Ensure the correct accounting treatment, valuation, and documentation of business transactions in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Advise and support operational departments and controlling functions on accounting and financial reporting matters.
• Analyze balance sheet and profit-and-loss statement positions and prepare financial evaluations, closing analyses, and reports for management and relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, particularly external auditors and statutory auditors.
• Actively contribute to the development and optimization of accounting, closing, and reporting processes, for example in the context of reorganizations, system changes, or updates to accounting policies.
• Take on special projects and additional tasks beyond the immediate area of responsibility.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a comparable qualification.
• Additional qualification as a Certified Management Accountant / Certified Accountant (IHK Bilanzbuchhalter) is an advantage.
• Professional experience in accounting with a focus on the preparation of financial statements.
• Sound knowledge of accounting under German GAAP (HGB), ideally complemented by IFRS knowledge.
• Excellent command of both German and English, written and spoken.
• Independent, structured, and meticulous working style.
• Motivation to take ownership and actively drive improvements.
• Flexibility regarding working hours during monthly, quarterly, and annual closing periods, as well as a willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics.
