In addition to high-voltage batteries for electric and hybrid vehicles and low-voltage solutions that improve efficiency, we also produce energy storage systems (ESS) designed to optimize energy use, support the integration of renewable energy sources and provide reliable backup power.

As an Online Marketing Specialist (w/m/d) at A123 Systems GmbH, you will be at the forefront of driving our digital presence in the automotive and ESS sectors across Europe. You\’ll lead B2B and B2C marketing initiatives, including managing online campaigns, optimizing e-commerce platforms, and building the company website. Working closely with our marketing team, you\’ll develop and implement creative digital strategies, increase our social media reach and create compelling content. You\’ll also manage key agency relationships and support the Marketing Manager in driving growth and brand awareness.

Responsibilities:

• Build a digital marketing network for multi-channel activities to increase reach, awareness, lead generation and conversion
• Maintain and develop the website along the customer journey, localizing into multiple languages
• Support and develop SEO strategy
• Set up and maintain online shops, manage all marketing related after sales issues in a legally compliant manner
• Manage, monitor and develop social media channels
• Set up, implement and manage SEA campaigns
• Monitor, analyse and optimize all online activities using standard tracking and analysis tools
• Create and translate content (German English), create graphics
• Contribute to the annual marketing plan
• Work closely with service providers and internal teams to ensure a customer-focused approach
• Provide general support to other marketing activities

Education & Experience:

• Successfully completed commercial training or business studies with a focus on marketing or online media
• At least 2 years experience in digital marketing
• Experience of social media platforms and tools
• B2B2C marketing background
• Experience in the solar/battery energy storage and automotive markets preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• A solid understanding of the core technology and its benefits, and identification of its unique selling points.
• Understanding of the solar/BESS market and its key distributors
• Creative thinker and team player who thrives in a start-up culture with minimal or evolving policies and procedures
• Goal and team oriented, strong communication skills
• Ability to negotiate with external agencies
• Creative and proactive approach
• Software and IT skills and an affinity for new technologies and digital trends
• Initiative, reliability and quick comprehension
• Proficient in MS Office, analysis tools and ideally Adobe Creative Cloud
• Excellent German and English language skills
• Good feel for online campaigns, online copywriting and online visual language
