Aare Logistics is growing, and we're looking for two new colleagues to join our team.

We move dangerous goods by rail across European corridors, combining rail capacity and tank wagon leasing into one reliable service for our customers. As our business expands, we need more people who want to keep Europe's chemical and energy flows moving safely and efficiently.

What you'll do:

  • Plan, coordinate and monitor rail transports ensuring smooth, safe, and economical operations
  • Preparation and issuing of freight documents (CIM, CUV, CIT)
  • Act as a key interface between customers, carriers, wagon keepers, loading /unloading points and internal stakeholders (management, sales)
  • Support fleet management by organising repairs, inspections, revisions and wagon cleaning)
  • Monitor compliance of railway operations with RID/COTIF/GCU
  • Optimize processes to increase efficiency and quality

What we're looking for:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in the rail(freight) sector, ideally in a similar field e.g. planning/dispatching position in rail forwarding or within a carrier
  • Know-how of railway production (market, processes, regulations)
  • Organisational talent and passion for railways
  • Communication strength, analytical thinking, and feeling for responsibility
  • Open minded and motivated person
  • Language: English + German mandatory in writing /orally, any other European language will be a big plus

What we offer

At Aare, you won't be a small cog in a big machine. As a compact team, everyone gets hands-on exposure to the whole business: you'll see how a deal is priced, how wagons are sourced, how a train is planned and how it reaches its destination. That means you learn fast, your ideas are heard, and your impact is visible from day one.

You’ll also get:

A truly international working environment, with travel to customers, partners and sites across Europe

Meaningful work that helps shift freight to rail, for a cleaner and more competitive Europe

Room for creative, unconventional solutions, from multimodal chains with barging and tank terminals to customs questions

Direct access to management and quick decisions, without layers of bureaucracy

Qualifications and training where needed, e.g. RID, GCU, CIM and customs

A broad view of rail logistics, from commercial to operational to regulatory

Real responsibility and room to grow as the company expands

Deep expertise in a specialised niche: forwarding of dangerous goods by rail across Europe

a collaborative team that genuinely works together
