We are expanding our Agricultural Commodities Trading team at AB Commodities Group, and are looking for the right professional to join us at Tradeon SA.
Key Responsibilities
Execute the purchase and sale of agricultural commodities and feed raw materials across international markets focusing on Europe and MENA regions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, brokers, and logistics partners.
Identify trading opportunities through fundamental market analysis, price movements, freight economics, and arbitrage.
Negotiate commercial terms and conclude physical trading contracts.
Monitor global agricultural markets, crop developments, macroeconomic trends, and trade flows.
Manage the full trading cycle from negotiation through execution, shipment, and contract completion.
Prepare, review, and follow up on contracts and commercial documentation.
Work closely with logistics, execution, finance, and risk teams to ensure smooth trade execution.
Monitor positions, mark-to-market (MTM) evaluation, and support risk management in accordance with company policies.
Contribute to the expansion of existing business and the development of new markets and trading opportunities.
We are looking for someone who is commercially driven, analytical, and eager to develop into a successful physical commodity trader.
Requirements
2-3 years of experience in agricultural commodity trading, brokerage, merchandising, or grain/feed industry.
Understanding of international trade in grains, oilseeds, feedstuffs and veg oils.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Knowledge of physical commodity contracts (GAFTA/FOSFA), Incoterms, and international trade documentation.
Understanding of freight, logistics, rail, barge, coaster, or container markets is an advantage.
Ability to perform fundamental market analysis and evaluate market prices (MTM).
Basic knowledge of futures markets (CBOT, MATIF) and hedging principles.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Commercial mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
Ability to work under pressure in fast-moving markets.
Curious, proactive, and motivated by continuous learning.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Fluent English (additional languages are an advantage).
Willingness to travel internationally.
