Global Sustainability Manager for Environment, Motion business

Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will act as a strategic partner, leveraging data and insights to drive our Scope 1, 2, and 3 emission reductions. This role is critical in helping the organization achieve its Net Zero targets by guiding and influencing decisions through lateral leadership. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about sustainability and analytics who want to drive meaningful change in a corporate setting.

This role is open globally, but location is set in ABB offices across Europe. The work model for the role is: hybrid.

You will mainly be responsible for:

• Developing reports, dashboards, and metrics that distill complex data into actionable insights to inform organizational decisions.
• Serving as a subject matter expert in climate, emissions, and decarbonization.
• Responding to time-critical questions from internal stakeholders.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify, define, and follow up on actions required to implement the agreed strategy and support its execution.
• Developing trainings and workshops to promote an understanding of sustainability, emissions and decarbonization best practices within key functions (Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management).
• Identifying and implementing new technologies and practices to enable continuous improvement in our operations.
• Staying current on global sustainability reporting standards and stakeholder expectations.
• Regularly updating and reporting on the progress of projects and initiatives to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications For The Role

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience, eager to develop a career in corporate sustainability, with the ability to work in detail and with a big-picture perspective.
• Proficient in managing and analyzing complex datasets, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills to generate and lead actionable insights.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with experience preparing reports and presentations for executive-level stakeholders and engaging diverse teams.
• Excellent command of the English language is a requirement; additional languages are a plus.
