Reports to: Procurement Manager
Your Role and Responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.
The work model for the role is: this role is contributing to the Procurement team in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Main stakeholders are the Electrification Division.
Manage sub projects in sourcing and benchmarking activities
Support the local Power User with our eProcurement tools
Assist and support in process optimization
Report on price development and market intelligence
Master Data correction actions & document management
External supplier correspondence and KPI tracking and reporting
Organize and prepare supplier visits and audits
Qualifications for the Role
Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in economics, engineering, information systems or similar with first supply chain experience
Fluent in German and English
Confidential handling of MS Excel
Good communication skills; shows initiative, self-managing, and well-organized working behavior
Curiosity and initiative
SAP knowledge is a plus
You hold a current valid VISA/work permit for Switzerland or a confirmation for a mandatory internship from your university
