This position reports to: Engineering Manager Your Role And Responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure that the activities related to engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by providing technical support to commissioning and start-up activities. The work model for the role is: hybrid. This role is contributing to the Mining & Materials Plant Automation within Process Industries in Switzerland. You will be mainly accountable for: Acting as design authority for engineering deliverables and technical solutions towards internal organisation, customers and authorities. Working closely with customers to shape and deliver solutions, actively seeking feedback, to drive and deliver improvements. Assisting project managers in scope control risk and opportunity assessments, implementing improvements and mitigation actions. Leading, supervising, and coordinating all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects of high/medium complexity. Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors. Qualifications For The Role You are highly skilled in large-scale process automation DCS as ABB 800xA or comparable and the relevant market Ability to demonstrate 8-10 years of experience in engineering and commissioning in large scale process automation projects with at least 2 years in lead engineer role of teams of 5-10 engineers covering software and electrical engineering. Possess an enhanced knowledge of IEC 61850, TCP/IP networks, fieldbus protocols like Profibus/Net, Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC, combined with good understanding and ability to apply cybersecurity practices in accordance with the IEC 62443 standard framework. Strong interpersonal skills to cooperate, negotiate, and reach agreement with customers and suppliers. In addition to that, a collaborative, solution-oriented approach with strong written and spoken communication skills are essential. Experience in power and energy management systems, related SW and HW design as well as related engineering practices, codes and standards. Bachelor's or master's in electrical engineering, industrial automation or related technical field. You are at ease communicating in English.
