This position reports to
Business Line Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role you will report to the business line Grid Components Leader, belonging to the Electrification Distribution Solutions (ELDS) Division. Each day, you will act as a partner for the team’s management in the development and implementation of winning strategies. You will also showcase your expertise by creating proposals for profitable growth and differentiation, based on your deep understanding of ABB’s businesses and market environment.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Developing a clear understanding of market developments and the competitive environment of relevant ABB businesses to generate new ideas (Business Intelligence).
- Identifying and analyzing major trends, strategic opportunities, and/or challenges for ABB, including sustainability.
- Organizing and synthesizing facts into clear analysis to provide impactful insights for strategic, operational, and sustainability related initiatives.
- Leading strategic projects by creating work plans that translate strategic frameworks into concrete actions and deliverables, aligning them with stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities and driving external innovation partnerships.
- Driving alignment with cross teams and ensuring project progress and outputs are in line with defined work plans.

Qualifications For The Role
- Solid experience working in a strategy role, with a global or cross-country scope. Experience in a B2B/manufacturing company or consultancy firm.
- Strategic Thinking and Vision: ability to develop long-term strategies aligned with organizational goals, foresee industry trends, and anticipate future challenges and opportunities. This involves a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Leadership and Team Management: Proven experience in leading and motivating a diverse team, fostering collaboration, and managing cross-functional projects. Effective at building and sustaining high-performing teams and driving them toward achieving strategic objectives.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Expertise in analyzing complex data, identifying key insights, and making informed decisions. Ability to tackle complex problems with a systematic approach, leveraging quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Communication and Influence: Strong communication skills to clearly articulate strategic initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels. Ability to present complex ideas in a compelling manner and negotiate effectively to gain buy-in.
- Change Management and Adaptability: Experience in managing organizational change and guiding teams through transitions. Ability to adapt strategies in response to shifting priorities and external conditions, ensuring agility and resilience in the face of evolving challenges.
- Proven experience in leadership roles.
