As part of our strategic growth agenda, we are hiring a new Strategy Manager for our Motion Business Area. This role is open globally, with preferred locations near our main Motion hubs in Switzerland, Spain, Germany, and Italy. The work model is hybrid, and the targeted start date is November 1, 2026. Your work will strengthen our Motion Business Area’s strategy capability by driving strategic analyses, projects, and narratives that inform senior leadership decision‑making. It is designed for a strategy professional who can operate with autonomy, lead strategic workstreams end to end, and translate insights into clear, compelling, and leadership‑ready outputs.
Reporting Global Head of Strategy & Business Intelligence, Motion.
Key Responsibilities Strategic studies, deep dives & projects
Support strategic studies and deep dives, either as standalone projects such as long‑term market or technology opportunities, or in close collaboration with Divisions.
Structure and deliver strategic projects by defining scope, driving execution with limited supervision, and supporting topics from ideation through analysis to leadership readout and follow‑up.
External market & growth opportunity screening
Screen external markets, technologies, and competitive dynamics to inform Motion’s strategic priorities, in close collaboration with the Business Intelligence team.
Identify and assess new growth opportunities, including Horizon 3 topics, emerging sectors, geographies, and business models.
Synthesize external insights into clear implications for Motion’s strategy and portfolio.
Strategic deliverables & leadership narratives
Support strategic deliverables for Motion by shaping clear, insight‑driven narratives for the Motion Leadership Team, internal stakeholders, and selected external audiences.
Translate analyses into concise, strategic, and decision‑oriented presentations.
Ensure a high standard of storyline, logic, and messaging across all strategy‑related outputs.
M&A and portfolio support (strategy perspective)
Support M&A and portfolio topics from a strategic perspective, primarily at the Motion Business Area level.
Contribute to commercial and strategic assessments for Motion‑led deals, including market attractiveness, strategic fit, and value creation logic.
Prepare strategy‑focused materials for internal reviews and decision forums.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant fields.
Several years of experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate development, business intelligence, or a related strategic role.
Strong strategic thinking & synthesis: Ability to frame problems, structure analyses, and articulate clear strategic implications.
Independent content creation: Proven ability to build high‑quality presentations and strategic documents with minimal coaching; excellent PowerPoint and report‑writing skills; able to simplify complex topics into Leadership‑ready material.
Communication & storytelling: Able to consolidate diverse viewpoints and challenge assumptions constructively.
Cross‑functional collaboration: Experience working effectively in a decentralized organization with multitude of stakeholders to align data, insights, and strategic narratives.
Proactive mindset & ownership: Demonstrates initiative, curiosity, and a strong sense of accountability; pushes topics forward and delivers on commitments, even under time pressure.
Agility & resilience: Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a dynamic, senior‑stakeholder environment.
M&A exposure: Prior exposure to portfolio topics and strategy‑led deal support is a plus.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
