SALES TRAINING MANAGER EMEAP (M/F/D)
The Opportunity
This position works out of our location in Wiesbaden (Abbott GmbH) in the Abbott Diabetes Care division that is focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life‑changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions.
- The EMEAP Sales Training Manager is responsible for the end-to-end design, deployment, and optimization of commercial training initiatives across EMEAP, ensuring high-quality execution aligned with regional strategy and global standards.
- The role operates with a high level of autonomy, acting as the primary execution owner for sales training programs, onboarding, and capability development, while working closely with the EMEAP commercial capability lead on strategically material initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
Program Ownership & Execution Excellence
- Own the end-to-end delivery (design, development, deployment, measurement) of EMEAP commercial training programs.
- Lead execution of key initiatives on clinical and product knowledge, onboarding programs, and skill development journeys.
- Ensure training solutions are practical, scalable, and embedded into day‑to‑day commercial execution.
Onboarding & Capability Deployment
- Fully own onboarding on EMEAP level, ensuring new hires are enabled quickly, consistently, and effectively.
- Translate strategic capability frameworks into executable learning journeys with clear application in the field.
- Coordinate and orchestrate execution through countries, trainers, vendors, and platforms.
Cross‑Functional & Regional Collaboration
- Work closely with Commercial Excellence, Marketing, Affiliate commercial teams, and Global Training to ensure aligned execution.
- Act as the primary operational interface for EMEAP training initiatives across markets.
- Support adoption by influencing stakeholders through clarity, structure, and disciplined follow‑through.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track training effectiveness metrics, adoption indicators, and qualitative feedback.
- Use insights to continuously improve content, delivery methods, and learning journeys.
- Ensure training remains relevant, impactful, and aligned to evolving business needs.
- Own the operational management and continuous optimization of the LMS for EMEAP.
Strategic Influence
- Participate in strategic discussions and initiatives, contributing with execution insights and regional perspectives.
- Support strategic pilots, transformations, or evolutions under guidance, gaining exposure to broader capability leadership topics.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience working cross‑functionally and across geographies.
- Highly structured, autonomous, and execution‑focused, with the ability to prioritize and deliver at pace.Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms and blended learning approaches.
- Travel: 20%, including regional travel across EMEAP.
