Overview As Director, Global Alliances, you will lead strategic partnerships and governance for biosimilars and biologics within Abbott’s Established Pharmaceuticals Division. You’ll act as the executive partner to licensing collaborators, shaping the global biosimilars portfolio and driving successful licensing, supply, and commercialization across markets. Your role centers on maximizing alliance value, coordinating cross-functional teams, and advancing Abbott’s biologics growth strategy. Verantwortungsbereiche Manage and coordinate strategic biologics/biosimilars alliances as the primary executive interface Expand and optimize external partnerships to support portfolio expansion and licensing outcomes Establish governance frameworks with partners including business reviews and steering committees Identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and resolve issues to sustain mutually beneficial collaborations Lead alliance management, business development, and licensing to support Global Biologics strategy Identify unmet business needs and evaluate partnerships, licensing, or acquisitions Drive portfolio growth by securing partnerships and regional strategic sourcing Ensure cross-functional alignment and successful execution of licensing, supply, and commercialization agreements Provide regular executive updates on alliance performance, risks, and pipeline progress Collaborate with NPI Launch/Brand teams to ensure readiness for licensing and commercialization Zentrale Anforderungen 10+ years of industry experience in Business Development or related commercial function Strong negotiation and influencing skills in fast-paced environments Proven track record of negotiating strategic partnerships and closing deals Knowledge of biosimilars and biologics market landscape (advantage) Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus Willingness to travel frequently Bachelor in Business Administration or equivalent degree Experience in governance, due diligence, and cross-functional leadership negotiation cross-functional leadership stakeholder engagement alliance management licensing agreements governance frameworks
