Overview
In this role you lead the industrialization and scale-up of complex electromechanical medical devices from R&D to manufacturing. You’ll partner with global teams to influence design, manufacturing strategy, and supplier readiness, guiding the product through pilot builds to commercial launch. You will work across Zurich and Pleasanton to drive efficient, high-quality production and meet patient impact goals. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead transfer of new products from R&D into manufacturing for scalable serial production
- Develop manufacturing processes, workflows, work instructions, and documentation for new products
- Provide DfM, DfA, and DfT feedback to R&D throughout development
- Design, qualify, and release production test systems, fixtures, and tools
- Establish routings, BOMs, production versions, and master data in SAP
- Coordinate industrialization activities with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
- Define process validation and product qualification strategies (IQ/OQ/PQ where applicable)
- Analyze manufacturing data to assess capability, yield, throughput, and quality
- Identify risks and implement CAPAs to support product launches
- Support pilot/engineering builds and ramp-up to volume production
- Ensure complete, controlled, released manufacturing documentation prior to launch
- Drive continuous improvement in quality, cost, delivery, and efficiency
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor or Master in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics, or Software Engineering
- Minimum 3 years in New Product Introduction, Manufacturing/Process Engineering, or related
- Experience with cross-functional product development teams
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, validation, and scaling
- Experience with ERP; SAP preferred
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and continuous improvement
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage
