Description
We are looking for a German speaking freelancer for around 20 hours a week and for around 6 months. There is the possibility of extension and turning the position into a full-time, permanent one after the 6 months.
As a SEO freelancer, you will support with improving our organic search performance through content strategy, technical SEO, site speed optimization, and link building, with a mix of strategic guidance and hands-on execution.
Responsibilities
- Audit
- Perform audit for on-page & off-page SEO status, technical SEO health and keyword research taking current metrics into account.
- Provide a roadmap of optimization.
- Audit and optimize all existing content.
- Conduct keyword research and formulate a clear content priority plan based on traffic and conversion potential coming from the keyword research (current position/traffic, total search volume, keyword difficulty).
- Monitor and report on content performance.
- Conduct a full technical SEO audit and communicate effectively with our engineers to implement fixes (broken links, indexing strategy, sitemaps, etc.).
- Optimize our website structure, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals.
- Analyze and improve site speed (image compression, minification, caching, CDN).
- Provide ongoing recommendations for maintaining speed.
- Audit backlink profile and disavow toxic links.
- Acquire high-quality backlinks via outreach, guest blogging, and PR campaigns.
- Track and report on link-building progress.
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of Wordpress and ability to optimise Wordpress content for SEO purpose.
- Experience and knowledge with performance marketing and Google ads.
- The ability to write German content is an advantage.
- Fluent in German (C2 level) and English.
Deliverables
- Provide structured weekly reports on agreed SEO KPIs (rankings, traffic, conversions) and our technical setup.
- Moderate monthly business review on overall performance.
