Senior PHP Engineer - Checkout - Pre-Confirmation (all genders)

- Design and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices (PHP/Laravel/Symfony) powering the checkout experience
- Build event-driven pipelines using AWS SNS/SQS for asynchronous payment, order, and inventory processing
- Optimize database queries (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and Redis cache layers to handle massive traffic spikes smoothly
- Write automated tests, review pull requests, and advocate for sustainable architecture and clean code
- Collaborate daily with product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-impact improvements in short sprints
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and balance long-term code health with pragmatic product delivery
- 6+ years of backend development experience with senior-level ownership
- PHP 8.x mastery using Laravel, Symfony, or modern enterprise frameworks
- Relational database & caching skills (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis)
- API & microservice design with OpenAPI/Swagger standards
- Asynchronous processing experience using SNS/SQS
- Containerization & CI/CD workflow knowledge (Docker, Git, GitLab CI)
- Fluent English with transparent, solution-oriented communication
Nice To Have:
- Background in e-commerce, checkout flows, or payment processor integrations.
- Experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and application observability/monitoring tools.
