A Night Manager oversees the night-hour supervision of the Front Office Team to ensure that Team Members are prepared and well-informed to deliver our Guests an exceptional experience from check-in through check-out.
What will I be doing?
As Night Manager, you will oversee the night-hour supervision of the Front Office Team to ensure that Team Members are prepared and well-informed to deliver our Guests an exceptional experience from check-in through check-out. Your responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the entire Front Office operation to maintain high standards
- Serving as a point of contact for regular and VIP Guests
- Completing Night Audit duties
- Maximizing room occupancy at best rates and promoting hotel services and facilities through up-selling techniques
- Understanding and demonstrating correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash in accordance with hotel policies
- Representing the Hotel Manager and senior managers in their absence, taking full responsibility of the hotel
- Managing and resolving issues or emergencies promptly
- Demonstrating knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing, policies, and the local area
- Acting according to security and emergency procedures and managing their implementation as required
- Preparing adequate handovers to early staff / Duty Manager
- Attending training courses and assisting with team training and development
- Adhering to policies and procedures when working with front of house equipment and property management systems
- Conducting annual and mid-year appraisals with team members
- Performing health and safety checks and night walks, maintaining good awareness of all hotel areas
- Assisting other departments as necessary

- Previous supervisory experience in Front Office within the hotel, leisure, or retail sectors

Preferred additional capabilities include:
- Previous experience in the hotel industry
