Located at Cologne/Bonn Airport, dnata Germany operates from a 12,000 square metre facility with direct access to the apron leading to the security area. We manage cargo handling, cargo documentation, storage & warehousing, and aviation security services.
As a Station Manager , you will lead the import and export activities of cargo operations in Cologne, ensuring contractual obligations and service delivery objectives are met, while maintaining operational safety and controlling budgets. Additionally, you will support the Managing Director with commercial and sales activities.
In this role, you will:
- Focus on results: Translate business strategy into operational and commercial goals, lead operations to achieve performance targets, oversee market conditions, and coordinate sales activities to meet KPIs.
- Develop policies and procedures: Implement business policies to ensure compliance with legislative and procedural requirements.
- Manage finances: Prepare and monitor budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Drive continuous improvement: Enhance systems and processes, lead technology and change projects within cargo operations.
- Problem-solving: Balance short-term and long-term considerations, generate solutions, and implement them after management consultation.
- Ensure governance and controls: Maintain compliance with ‘The dnata way’ and local laws, liaise with regulatory authorities.
- Manage risks: Make business decisions responsibly, conduct due diligence, and seek appropriate approvals.
- Build customer relationships: Foster relationships with clients and stakeholders, identify new revenue opportunities, and achieve sales targets.
