Chief Engineer - Core Silicon & Electronics | Munich, Germany (On-site)
I'm partnering with a leading European autonomous systems company developing advanced unmanned platforms for defence, security and industrial applications.
They're looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to take technical ownership of core silicon and electronics architecture, shaping the next generation of embedded computing and electronic systems across their autonomous platforms.
The role:
- Define and develop electronic architectures across processors, SoCs, FPGAs and embedded computing platforms
- Lead critical technical decisions across silicon, power electronics, sensing and high-speed interfaces
- Drive hardware development from initial architecture and prototyping through to verification, qualification and production
- Solve complex engineering challenges involving performance, power, thermal management, EMC/EMI and system reliability
- Work closely with embedded software, avionics, mechanical and manufacturing teams to optimise system-level designs
What they're looking for:
- Extensive experience in electronics architecture, embedded hardware or semiconductor systems
- Strong technical knowledge of SoCs, FPGAs, processors and complex electronic architectures
- Experience taking hardware systems from design through to production and qualification
- Understanding of signal integrity, power management, thermal constraints, EMC/EMI and hardware verification
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and make high-level architectural decisions
- Background in aerospace, defence, robotics, automotive or other safety-critical hardware environments would be beneficial
