Investment Analyst / Associate - Software & Technology
A technology-focused investment firm in Frankfurt is looking to strengthen its investment team with an Analyst / Associate. The firm invests in software and technology businesses and is seeking a commercially minded, analytically strong professional with experience in investing, M&A, or strategy consulting.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate new investment opportunities across software, technology, and tech-enabled businesses.
- Conduct market research, commercial due diligence, and financial analysis of prospective investments.
- Build and review financial models, valuation analyses, and investment case materials.
- Support due diligence processes and coordinate workstreams with internal teams and external advisers.
- Prepare investment committee presentations and contribute to investment decisions.
- Monitor portfolio performance and support broader portfolio analysis and value creation initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Approximately 2-3 years of relevant experience in Private Equity, Growth Equity, Investment Banking, or strategy consulting.
- Demonstrable exposure to software, technology, or tech-enabled business models.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills, combined with sound commercial judgement.
- Genuine intellectual curiosity and a strong interest in technology investing.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to take ownership of analytical workstreams and thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial investment environment.
