Data Engineer, Business Intelligence (m/f/d)
We are currently seeking a Data Engineer - Business Intelligence (m/f/d) for our Berlin office, to start immediately. This is a full-time position consisting of 40 hours per week.

Your responsibilities:
- Data Pipelines and ETL Processes: You design, develop, and operate robust and scalable data pipelines and automated ETL processes using Python, Apache Airflow, and dbt.
- Process Automation: You orchestrate, automate, and monitor data processing workflows and ensure their reliable operation.
- Data Integration: You integrate and transform data from various internal and external sources.
- Data Modeling: You will develop appropriate data models for reporting, analytics, and business intelligence applications and continuously expand them.
- Data Quality and Performance: They ensure the quality, consistency, and traceability of data and optimize the performance of database queries and data processing workflows.
- Data Architecture and Documentation: You will continuously refine our data architecture and data processes and ensure that documentation is structured and traceable.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Working together with the various departments, you will analyze data-related requirements and translate them into appropriate technical solutions.
Your requirements:
- You have very strong knowledge of Python and SQL, as well as hands-on experience with Apache Airflow and dbt.
- You have extensive experience working with relational database systems, particularly PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- You have experience in developing and automating ETL processes and scalable data pipelines.
- You have a solid understanding of data modeling, relational data warehouse design, data quality, and high-performance data processing.
- You are familiar with modern data engineering practices and technologies such as Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and containerization.
- Knowledge of Talend Data Integration and Tableau is a plus.
- Experience working with desktop GIS applications and geodata is preferred.
- A structured and independent work style, a strong team spirit, and excellent German and English language skills round out your profile.
