Project Manager (Cincinnati)
Job Description
This role oversees automation, controls, and manufacturing projects for industrial customers.
The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between clients, engineering teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required technical and quality standards.
You will drive the full project lifecycle from kickoff through completion while maintaining strong customer relationships and high levels of satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle, including defining and controlling project scope, budget, schedule, and resource planning for multiple concurrent projects.
- Lead client meetings and project review sessions to align expectations, clarify requirements, and provide clear status updates.
- Coordinate the work of internal engineering teams, subcontractors, and customer stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and integration.
- Monitor project performance and financial metrics, including costs, progress, and profitability, and take corrective actions when needed.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, and develop mitigation plans to minimize impact on schedule, budget, and quality.
- Manage change orders by documenting changes in scope, evaluating cost and schedule impacts, and obtaining appropriate approvals.
- Ensure successful project completion by overseeing commissioning, testing, and handover activities, and confirming that all technical and contractual requirements are met.
- Maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project, responding promptly to questions or concerns and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously in automation, controls, manufacturing, and industrial environments, prioritizing tasks and resources effectively.
- Collaborate closely with controls and automation engineers to align project plans with technical requirements involving PLCs, HMI systems, and systems integration software.

- Proven project management experience in manufacturing, automation, industrial, or engineering environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing technical projects involving automation, controls, or systems integration.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings, present project status, and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively across multiple simultaneous projects.
- Experience working within industrial automation, controls, manufacturing, or engineering project environments.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and control systems, including platforms such as Allen-Bradley and Siemens.
- Familiarity with HMI systems and industrial drawings, including interpreting and working with electrical and control schematics.
- Experience with systems integration software and controls engineering concepts.
- Industrial automation experience in a project-based environment.
- Background in controls engineering or manufacturing.

- PMP certification or equivalent formal project management credential.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $56.00/hr.
