Our client based in Heidelberg (Germany) is looking for a Scientist to join its team. In this role, you will be responsible for checking the quality of active ingredients (diagnostic/therapeutic proteins) in routine operations using various protein analytical methods. You will focus on method development and validation, create reports, and the qualification of measurement devices to maintain the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities :
- Create, review, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Develop, plan, and execute analytical methods and validation activities
- Provide training to laboratory staff and support troubleshooting efforts
- Advise reviewers and release managers on method-related challenges, including SST failures, deviations, and OOS results
- Organize, document, and oversee the maintenance, calibration, and qualification of complex laboratory equipment
- Prepare qualification documents and coordinate equipment testing and qualification activities
- Draft procurement documents and conduct risk assessments in line with current industry standards
- Support the resolution of equipment deviations and contribute to continuous improvement
- Collaborate on automation initiatives for data evaluation and ensure data security
Requirements :
We are looking for a motivated QC Scientist have experience in:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology)
- Strong understanding of liquid chromatographic methods (e.g., UPLC, HPLC) and compendial methods (e.g., pH measurement, OD280)
- Professional experience in quality control analytics or a similar laboratory environment (preferred)
- Experience with GMP guidelines and quality management systems
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Meticulous, detail-oriented, and precise working style
- Fluent in written and spoken German and in English
