Biostatistician We are seeking a highly skilled Biostatistician to plan and execute statistical analyses for observational, cohort, and clinical trials datasets.
The ideal candidate will provide statistical consultation for principal investigators on hypothesis generation, study design, statistical methodology, and interpretation of findings.
Responsibilities Plan, execute, and validate statistical analyses for datasets from observational, cohort, and clinical trials.
Provide statistical consultation to principal investigators on study design and data interpretation.
Validate statistical procedures and perform quality assurance checks on analyses and reports.
Summarize and interpret data in written, tabular, and graphical formats suitable for presentations and publications.
Supervise biostatisticians and SAS programmers, providing leadership in statistical design.
Assist in the development of new grants and contracts.
Contribute to research in statistical methods and represent the organization at scientific meetings.
Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as needed.
Essential Skills Strong knowledge of state‑of‑the‑art statistical machine learning and AI methods, particularly with high‑dimensional datasets and medical imaging data.
Experience with data safety monitoring requirements.
Sound judgment and diplomacy in staff and client interactions.
Experience in oncology and biostatistical consulting.
Proven publication record reflecting statistical support of clinical investigations.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Ph D in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field.
Minimum of two years of relevant experience in applied statistics.
Proficiency in statistical computing using SAS or R.
Work Environment The position offers flexibility with a work environment consisting of 2 days onsite at UW / Fred Hutch or fully remote if necessary.
Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $140,000.00 - Website.
