Our client, an ambitious international manufacturing business, is currently searching for a Head of US GAAP/ Technical Accounting to join the team in Munich.
Responsibilities in this role include leading the company's transition from IFRS to US GAAP, overseeing SEC-compliant reporting, and ensuring technical accounting excellence. You will partner across the organisation on complex accounting matters, contributing to both strategic and operational decision-making.
You will support the development and implementation of accounting policies, analyse and adapt existing IFRS processes, and deliver training to relevant stakeholders. In addition, you will monitor and interpret new accounting standards, ensuring timely and accurate application. You will have hands on experience drafting complex technical accounting memos in a manufacturing environment (ASC 606, 842 etc).
The ideal candidate will have started out in Big 4, then will have moved into large international businesses and gained related accounting experience. You will have deep technical knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting, and experience in public companies. This position requires a hands-on, energetic individual who can operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
You should be happy to travel to sites in neighbouring countries roughly 40% of time.
