Mechanical Quantity Surveyor - Data Centre

I'm working with a major international engineering and construction business that is looking for an experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join a large-scale data centre project in Dresden, Germany.
The position can be based locally in Germany or worked on a rotation basis, so we're open to speaking with experienced QSs from across Europe.
The Role
You'll take commercial responsibility for key mechanical packages across the project, including:
- Commercial management of major mechanical packages
- Subcontractor procurement, tendering and negotiation
- Managing valuations, variations and change orders
- Cost reporting, forecasting and budget management
- Reviewing subcontractor applications and payments
- Managing commercial and contractual risk
- Working closely with the mechanical, construction and procurement teams throughout delivery
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Mechanical QS, MEP QS or Quantity Surveyor
- Strong understanding of mechanical packages including HVAC, cooling, piping and associated services
- Ideally previous data centre or mission-critical project experience
- Strong subcontractor and package management experience
- Good commercial and contractual knowledge
- Comfortable working on large-scale, fast-paced construction projects
- Open to being based in Dresden or working on rotation
