About this role
The Junior Security Analyst will assist in governance, risk management, and compliance efforts within our IT security framework. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on experience in cybersecurity policies, regulatory compliance, risk assessments, and security controls.
Your responsibilities

Assist in maintaining and updating security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry regulations

Support compliance activities related to ISO 27001:2022, BSI IT-Grundschutz, C5, and other regulatory frameworks

Conduct risk assessments and assist in mitigating security risks

Monitor and analyze security compliance reports to ensure adherence to internal and external requirements

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure security controls are effectively implemented

Assist in security awareness training and education programs

Support audits, security assessments, and regulatory reporting

Stay updated on the latest compliance requirements, cybersecurity trends, and best practices
Your qualifications, skills and experience
-
Studies with a focus on Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

0-2 years of experience in IT security, GRC, or related areas (internships or project experience can be considered)

Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English (written and spoken). Proficiency in German is a plus.

Basic understanding of governance, risk, and compliance principles

Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001:2022, C5, or GDPR

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Security principles and best practices

Strong communication skills and analytical mindset for effective troubleshooting and stakeholder collaboration

Industry certifications such as CCSK (Cloud Security Alliance), GIAC Cloud Security Essentials, Microsoft\’s Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900) or CRISC (ISACA) are advantageous
