For a client specialised in waste management and recovery, we are looking for a machine operator holding an M1 licence or an accepted equivalent French permit. The position is set in an industrial environment where safety, precision in manoeuvres, and adherence to procedures are essential. The post holder will work on various equipment dedicated to sorting, handling, and preparing waste for recovery channels. The role suits someone wishing to develop their technical skills, strengthen their field experience, and learn a structured profession with opportunities for advancement. Significant prior experience is required to ensure an operational start and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Drive and manoeuvre machinery and equipment requiring an M1 machine operator licence or accepted equivalent French permit, respecting established safety instructions.
- Carry out daily operations related to sorting, handling, and moving waste to facilitate its routing to recovery channels.
- Apply internal procedures concerning safety, equipment checks, and incident prevention within the defined work area.
- Collaborate with the operational team to organise waste flows, optimise machinery movements, and meet scheduled deadlines.
- Participate in machine operator training activities by integrating feedback and proposed training to improve work quality.
Profile
- Hold a valid M1 machine operator licence or an equivalent permit recognised in France, compliant with the requirements applicable to the role and equipment used.
- Have at least one year of professional experience operating machinery or in a similar role within an industrial or construction environment.
- Ideally possess prior experience in waste recovery, considered an asset for understanding processes and constraints.
- Be able to strictly follow safety instructions, work procedures, and internal rules applicable on the operational site.
- Demonstrate a willingness to progress and learn a structured profession, with the ability to adopt new methods and attend targeted training sessions.
