Android Engineer

Our Android tech-stack is built with Kotlin together with architecture components and includes unit & integration tests . We are working in an agile environment which allows us to discover, deliver and improve continuously . To further grow our experienced and motivated team, we are looking for a Android Developer who will help us build customer value through the design, development and delivery of a native app that our customers love. You will report to our engineering manager of our tech platform team. We support a hybrid work model that allows flexibility for employees to work both remotely and in the office, encouraging collaboration, productivity, and work-life balance.

What you\’ll do:

• Build the technology future of online classifieds in a scalable, clean way

• Improve our Android app and SDKs to make it better every day

• Ensure code quality and maintainability by improving build and test systems

• Be involved in the whole development lifecycle from architecture to QA and publishing

• Drive your own ideas for code and process improvements and achieve the next level together with the team

• Partner closely with our product and UX specialists to continuously improve our app

• Research and prototype solutions to exciting problems

What you\’ll bring:

• Experience with Android development, beautiful, pragmatic code and an eye for simplicity

• Knowledge and Experience with the Android platform

• Excellent programming skills in Kotlin

• Deep understanding of architectural patterns for Android projects

• 1+ years of experience in building test driven mobile environments, e.g. experience with JUnit, Robolectric, Espresso

• Real life reference or open source projects are a huge plus (GitHub / Bitbucket / StackOverflow Account)

• Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners in English
